Manatee County DOH, Public Safety announce new COVID-19 vaccination opportunities

MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Jan. 4, 2021) – Local Department of Health (DOH) and Public Safety officials today announced another round of free COVID-19 vaccinations. DOH received another shipment of vaccines and will continue to work with Public Safety administer 1,200 to seniors ages 65 and older this week.

The DOH and the County plan to distribute another 1,200 doses to seniors at Bennett Park on Wednesday, Jan. 6 and Thursday, Jan. 7 for those who have booked online appointments.

The free vaccinations will again be available at Bennett Park for anyone ages 65 and older. Online appointments for the Bennett Park dates will be available at www.mymanatee.org/vaccine at 2 p.m. today, Jan. 4.

Seniors are asked to download and complete the Department of Health COVID-19 Vaccine Screening and Consent Form at www.mymanatee.org/vaccine and bring it to your appointment in order to be vaccinated. After filling the out the form, register for a specific appointment time.

To date more than 2,800 doses have been administered by the Manatee County vaccination workgroup. (That total does not include doses given at long term care facilities or hospitals).
