MANATEE COUNTY, FL (November 20, 2023) – Manatee County Government offices will be closed Thursday and Friday (November 23 and 24) for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Thursday's Garbage and recycling will be on Friday, November 24, and Friday’s collections will be on Saturday, November 25. The regular schedule resumes Monday, November 27.
MCAT fixed route, Handy Bus, and Longboat Key Shuttle services will not be available on Thanksgiving Day, but those services will resume on Friday, November 24.
Manatee County Public Libraries will be close at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22. Branches will remain closed Thursday, November 23, and Friday, November 24. All locations will reopen at 9 a.m. on Saturday, November 25.
On the days government offices are closed, public parks, preserves and beaches remain open to the public. Manatee County and Buffalo Creek golf courses will close at noon on Thursday.
G.T. Bray Recreation Center is closed Thursday and Friday. Regular hours and programming will resume Saturday, November 26.
