
MANATEE COUNTY, FL (MAY 22, 2023) – Manatee County Government offices will be closed Monday, May 29, 2023, to commemorate Memorial Day. Trash, recycling and yard waste collections for that week will be postponed one day, from Tuesday through Saturday, for residents in unincorporated Manatee County.
Manatee County Area Transit operations will be suspended for the day with no fixed route or Handy Bus services. The Anna Maria Island Trolley and Beach ConneXion Shuttle Service will operate normal daily routes.
Manatee County Library branches will be closed Memorial Day.
Manatee County parks and beaches will be open to the public. Manatee County and Buffalo Creek Golf Courses will be open. G.T. Bray Recreation Center facilities will be open on Monday, May 29, from 8 AM to 2 PM. Although the Walton Racquet Center will be closed, tennis/pickleball courts will still be accessible.
Manatee County’s publicly owned natural preserves will remain open throughout the holiday weekend.

Memorial Day Weekend events include a service by Manatee County Veterans Council on Monday, May 29, 9 AM, at the Donald L. Courtney Veterans Park (located across the street from Bradenton Riverwalk, behind Manatee Memorial Hospital).
