
MANATEE COUNTY, FL (August 31, 2023) – Manatee County Government offices will be closed Monday, September 4, to commemorate Labor Day. Trash, recycling and yard waste collections for the week will be postponed one day, from Tuesday through Saturday, for residents in unincorporated Manatee County.
Manatee County Area Transit (MCAT) fixed routes, the Longboat Key Shuttle and Handy Bus operations will be suspended on Labor Day. The Anna Maria Island Trolley will operate on Labor Day. Manatee County Public Library branch locations will be closed on Monday, September 4.
Manatee County parks, preserves and beaches will be open to the public. Manatee County and Buffalo Creek Golf Courses will be open. G.T. Bray Recreation Center facilities will also be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, September 4. The Walton Racquet Center office will be closed, but all courts will open. Check-ins for racquet sports will take place at the Recreation Center.
