Disaster Recovery CenterUPDATE - MANATEE COUNTY, FL (February 15, 2023) – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be closing the Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) at Bradenton’s John Marble Park at the close of business February 21, 2023.

Manatee County Emergency Management staff has been working with representatives of the Florida Department of Emergency Management (FDEM) and FEMA to operate the site located at 3675 53rd Ave. E. in Bradenton as a one-stop location to help citizens answer questions about disaster recovery, clarify any correspondence and provide information on Housing Assistance and Rental Resources. DRCs also provide referrals to agencies that may provide further assistance and status of application(s) being processed by FEMA or other agencies.

While the DRC site will remain open through February 21, it is not necessary to personally visit a center to apply. Citizens can go online at disasterassistance.gov, use the FEMA mobile app or call 800-621-3362. The line is open every day from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. ET.

MANATEE COUNTY, FL (October 26, 2022) – As Manatee County residents continue to restore and recover after Hurricane Ian, a new dedicated Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) has opened at the John Marble Park, at 3675 53rd Ave. E. in Bradenton, to assist with those efforts.

Manatee County Emergency Management staff has been working with representatives of the Florida Department of Emergency Management (FDEM) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to establish this site which will remain open and available to residents, seven days a week, 8 AM to 7 PM, for the next month.

This is a one-stop location, designed to help citizens answer questions on disaster recovery, help clarify any written or electronic correspondence and provide information on Housing Assistance and Rental Resources. DRCs also provide referrals to agencies that may provide further assistance and status of application(s) being processed by FEMA or other agencies.

It is not necessary to visit a center to apply. Survivors can go online at disasterassistance.gov, use the FEMA mobile app or call 800-621-3362. The line is open every day from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. ET. In addition to the centers, FEMA Disaster Survivor Assistance (DSA) teams are canvassing neighborhoods in areas impacted by Hurricane Ian to help residents apply for FEMA assistance and answer questions about federal assistance. DSA teams wear FEMA attire and have federal photo identification badges. There is no charge for service.
