75th Street Aerial ViewMANATEE COUNTY, FL (February 13, 2023) – Residents are invited to learn more about roadway improvements planned for the 75th Street corridor during a special Community Conversation Saturday, February 18, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the Bradenton Elks Lodge, 2511 75th Street W., Bradenton, FL 34209.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide interested parties with an opportunity to learn more about the proposed improvements to 75th Street West, from 20th Avenue W. to Manatee Avenue West. While there will be no formal presentation, guests are invited to stop by any time between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. to view project boards and design plans. Project staff also will be available to answer questions and provide additional project-related information.

This roadway capacity-improvement project will widen approximately one mile of 75th Street W., from 20th Avenue W. to Manatee Avenue W., from the existing two-lane section to a divided four-lane section (two lanes in each direction) with a center left turn lane and/or raised median. Safety and operational enhancements will include pedestrian and bicycle facility upgrades, including a shared-use path, drainage improvements and designated stormwater ponds, County utility modifications, replacing and upgrading traffic signals as needed to accommodate the widened roadway and additional lighting in conjunction with Florida Power & Light (FP&L).
