MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Feb. 25, 2022) – Manatee County Government wants to remind residents of available COVID-19 testing options, including the continuation of in-person testing in Downtown Bradenton.

After hosting walk-up COVID-19 testing at the Bradenton Area Convention Center for the past six months, the Florida Department of Health (DOH-Manatee) and Manatee County Government will be closing the site — located at 1 Haben Blvd. in Palmetto — at the end of business March 5, 2022. However, the testing site in the parking lot located at 1301 8th Avenue W will remain open from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. seven days a week.

Additional testing options in the area include:

  • The U.S. Postal Service program to mail at-home testing kits directly to those who request the tests. Up to four tests per household can be requested and will be mailed directly to your home at no cost. Sign up to receive the at-home kits.
  • Pharmacies, private physician offices, laboratories and public testing sites countywide. Testing resources can be found at the Florida Department of Health website.
  • At-home testing kits available for purchase online and in retail pharmacies.
