Manatee County to host Opportunity Zone Forum

MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Feb. 19, 2019) — Manatee County Redevelopment & Economic Opportunity Department's Economic Development Division will host a free Opportunity Zone Forum on Monday, Feb. 25, from 9-10:30 a.m. at the Bradenton Area Convention Center, 1 Haben Blvd, Palmetto.

Qualified Opportunity Zones are designed to spur economic development and job creation in distressed communities in Manatee County by offering eligible new investments preferential tax treatment for capital gains taxes.

Attend the information session to learn how the community can benefit from this new tax law, how to invest, and where investments can be made. Get the facts about Qualified Opportunity Zones and Qualified Opportunity Funds and connect with other organizations and resources within Manatee County’s six Qualified Opportunity Zones.

Manatee County partners in the event include City of Bradenton, Manatee Chamber of Commerce, Blalock Walters Attorneys at Law, and Carr, Riggs & Ingram, LLC.
