East Bradenton Park

Robinson Preserve

Half-cent sales tax funds are providing visitors of Robinson Preserve with more coastal habitats to explore through a 150-acre expansion. Projects also include repairing and replacing all wood and hardware components of bridges, boardwalks piers and the observation tower and building a volunteer and education building.

Lincoln Park Improvements

Lincoln Park is being taken to new heights with a brand new competitive swimming pool, zero-depth entry kiddie pool with aquatic playground, slide and plunge pool, expected to be completed in May 2022.

Future improvements to the park include a press box, bleachers new basketball courts and more.

GT Bray Pickleball Courts

Pickleball has become one of the fastest growing sports in the nation, creating a need to increase the number of pickleball courts at GT BrayAn additional eight courts will bring the total to 20. Four courts will be upgraded to USTA regulation, allowing for tournaments. Shaded seating is also being added, along with upgraded court lighting.

GT Bray Dog Park Expansion

After the expansion, G.T. Bray's Laurie Crawford Dog Park now covers 4.25 acres, expanding both the large and small dog parks into tree-shaded areas. The expansion added three pavilions, two water fountains, eight benches, 15 picnic tables, eight waste-bag dispensers and 12 trash cans. The project also included the addition of concrete sidewalks from the parking lot to all pavilions for ADA access and separate entry areas to both dog parks for increased safety.

The new dog parks are open every day from sunrise to sunset, except Monday mornings from 7-10 a.m. when the parks are closed for maintenance.

GT Bray Skate Park Replacement

The new GT Bray Skate Park improvements include permanent “skate-able” landscapes that are fun for every skateboarder, no matter their age, style or experience. The skate park has a unique layout and transitions, a skateboard repair station equipped with tools, bleachers and shade.
