Update for week of February 22
Vaccination
On Friday, Feb. 26, Manatee County will begin booking 7,650 vaccine appointments for next Wednesday through Friday (March 3-5) using a new automated booking system.
The Department of Health in Manatee County is offering COVID-19 vaccinations to full- or part-time Florida residents aged 65 and older by appointment only, as supply is available. Manatee County is implementing a vaccine standby pool that will allow seniors to pre-register online at vax.mymanatee.org or by calling 311 to receive their first dose as vaccines become available.
Manatee County is not opting into a new statewide registration system at this time. Local seniors who have enrolled with the local registration system DO NOT need to enroll in the new state system. Signing up for state’s My Vaccine system will NOT get you a vaccination appointment in Manatee County because the system is not yet in use in our county.
COVID-19 vaccinations are now available at select CVS, Publix and Winn-Dixie locations in Manatee County.
