An immersive journey into Black history, music and communities in Florida. Explore the rich cultural heritage of African Americans, spanning various eras and genres of music. This program is a unique opportunity to celebrate and learn about the profound impact of Black culture on the Sunshine State.

Read Around the Globe Book Club: These Impossible Things, by Salma El-Wardany
Inspired by true events that rocked the nation, a profoundly moving novel about a Black nurse in post-segregation Alabama who blows the whistle on a terrible wrong done to her patients.

Plan a visit to the Family Heritage House Museum which maintains various displays, starting with African heritage, moving to American experiences in slavery, fights for freedom, histories of community building and education, the Harlem Renaissance, Civil Rights, Kwanzaa and a return to Africa with free elections in South Africa.
